But by the grace (the unmerited favor and blessing) of God I am what I am, and His grace toward me was not [found to be] for nothing (fruitless and without effect). In fact, I worked harder than all of them [the apostles], though it was not really I, but the grace (the unmerited favor and blessing) of God which was with me. 1 Corinthians 15:10 AMPC.
I want more of you, I want more of you is a popular saying in the mouth of many, there is no problem with that anyway because we have to acknowledge our insufficiency so that His sufficiency and grace can rest upon us. We are all hungry for more and we can never be satisfied. But more of Him does not solely depend on Him, it also depends on us as well.
We have the biggest part to play if we want more of God to rest upon us. We must be willing, we must be Obedient, we must be ready and we must also be available.
God has no problem in granting our request, He is ever willing and ready to give us even more than what we asked from Him, but the issue is how much of yourself can you give God.
Our God is osimiri Atata which means the rivers that never runs dry. No matter how much you withdraw from God, He can never runs dry, He’s unlimited. No one on earth can bankrupt the abundant resources of heaven. So your request cannot be considered too much to be granted by Him.
How much of God you want to carry will be determined by how much of yourself you are willing to give Him. How much of His glory you want to carry will be determined by how much of yourself are you willing to surrender to Him as a living sacrifice.
Therefore I urge you, brothers and sisters, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies [dedicating all of yourselves, set apart] as a living sacrifice, holy and well-pleasing to God, which is your rational (logical, intelligent) act of worship. Romans 12:1 AMP.
God isn’t looking for ability, but rather availability. D. L. Moody once heard a preacher say, “The world has never seen what God can do with one man who is totally yielded to Him.” In response, D. L. said, “By the grace of God, I’ll be that man.” This man went on to shake three continents for God.
God will fill and refill anyone who is hungry and thirsty after Him and He will give more to whosoever is ready to give Him more.
There will be no point in asking for more when we are not ready to give Him more, the more we give, the more we receive from Him.
Give Him more so that He can also give you more, play your part and God will not fail in fulfilling His own part. Then you’re already on the flight to flying high on eagle’s wings.
