And behold, a voice from heaven said, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well-pleased and delighted!” Matthew 3:17 AMP.
We live in a world where things have turned sideways, we live in a world where something that’s is extremely bad and evil has been generally and widely accepted by human.
But in all this things, we are more than a conqueror, because greater is He that’s in us than He that’s in the world.
Pastor Kumuyi once said that, this present generation has overthrown Sodom and Gomorrah in immoralities and wickedness.
Everything Jesus did, He did it to Please the Father, that’s why there is always a voice from heaven saying this is my beloved Son in whom I am well pleased.
If you check the way you’re living your life today, and the standard God requires from you, can God be pleased with you?
A life that will host dominion must be a life that would please God.
There is a pattern God has already mapped out for His own and that blueprint can only be found in completely doing His will, that’s when God can be pleased with you. If we are not doing His will, He can never be pleased with us.
We must endeavor to always do God’s will and seek His approval in everything we do. Our lifestyle and everything must be pleasing to God. It must be a sweet smelling savour to Him.
I will quickly share with you 5 essential keys to pleasing God.
- Hate what God hates and love what God love
Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows. Hebrews 1:9.
If you want to please God, you hate what God hates and love what He loves. God hates sin and He loves righteousness. Any form of sin and unrighteousness will not be accepted by Him. If you want to please God, you must love righteousness and also love holiness.
- Walk in Love
Little children (believers, dear ones), let us not love [merely in theory] with word or with tongue [giving lip service to compassion], but in action and in truth [in practice and in sincerity, because practical acts of love are more than words]. 1 John 3:18 AMP
God is love, His nature is love, his words are love, everything about Him is love. One of God’s greatest characteristics is love. If you want to please Him, one of your greatest characteristics must also be love.
If one claims to have holiness but does not manifest divine love, then what he has is not genuine holiness but Pharisaical righteousness. Love must be truly expressed and it must always be active.
Let your love ends with action and not by words only.
- Faith
But without faith it is impossible to please him : for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. Hebrews 11:6.
Believe or leave it, if you’re not walking by faith, you can never please God. Faith is more than just believing, you must put your believe to work by acting on what you believe. Your believe must corresponds to your actions, by doing this, you’re pleasing the father.
- Have a Healthy Conscience
Holding the mystery of the faith in a pure conscience. 1 Timothy 3:9 KJV.
The truth is that without a healthy conscience, you can never be in command. A bad conscience makes you walk in deceit while a healthy conscience makes you please God and constantly enjoy His presence.
- Obey His Words
But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. James 1:22 KJV.
This is where I will drop my pen for tonight. If you want to grow and have a perfect walk with God, obedience to His words, instructions, commandment and through the Holy Spirit is very essential. Obedience brings you closer to Him, the more you obey Him, the more He draws you closer to Himself and also elevates you.
Obedience to the word of God is the proof that you love Him. To please Him, you must obey Him completely to the letters because partial obedience is not obedience at all.
Pleasing God is not by works it’s by grace and that grace is available today. Let us come to the throne of grace to ask whatsoever thing we need and His grace will be sufficient for us.
May God give us the grace to always please Him at all times in Jesus name.
God bless you.
