ThRevelation 21:1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
The major priority of any believer should be eternity, not things that are temporary. Our thinking should not be measured based on the things in the earth, our thinking should be measured on the things that are eternal, because the things that are temporary will definitely come and go, but the things that are eternal will stay forever.
As a believer, our major thinking and priority should be heaven. Our thought, our behavior, our speech, our walk, our dressing and everything about us should be heavenly. Anything we know that will not glorify God in our lives should not be found in us.
If we must make heaven our major priority, there are lot of prices to be paid, lot of sacrifices, lots self-denial and self-discipline, and whatsoever thing we give up for eternity purpose can never be a waste, because nothing in this world can be compared with the Glory in heaven. Though we know that there will always be detours on the road, the enemy will never want to give us a smooth and easy ride to make it, we should know that it’s only when we allow them into our lives that’s when they can have a space, we must not give in to their useless and stupid strategies.
Those who find it hard to stand up for Jesus still love the world. So, we must not let the lust of the world to drive us away from our focus which is eternal; we must keep looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith because in him only our hope and future is secured.
Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12:2.
Making heaven our majority priority cannot be achieved by our own power, neither can it be achieved by own skills, connections, resources, certificate, academics etc. all what we need to make it to the very end is the abundant Grace of God. And for that grace to be with us we must abide in him and him also abide in us. We must have a constant, consistent and an unbreakable fellowship with him so that he can always direct our steps.
Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. John 14:1-2.
The Lord has gone to prepare a place for us, so we must also be prepare and ready to reign with him in his eternal kingdom, our works, our lifestyle must show that we are not joking about the kingdom business, we must not take anything for granted when it comes to the things that has to do with the kingdom. And also, we must drop every form of sin that seems to draw us back from God, because any sinner that fails to repent before the second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ will not make it. I pray the Grace to make it to the very end and to finish well, the Lord will release unto us in Jesus Name.
Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us. Hebrews 12:1.
In everything we do, we must focus on eternity, think eternity, eat eternity, digest eternity, breathe eternity, see eternity and preach eternity. We must take things that will prosper our eternity with the king of kings very serious.
Beloved, Heaven is a place that’s meant for a genuine born again and not for jokers. If there is any best place we could ever dream of spending eternity, it should be heaven. You and I know that there are only two major places to spend eternity, heaven or hell. The only one choice Jesus made available for you now is heaven, so make your choice now before it’s too late.
Revelation 3:12 Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.
Dear friend, let you major priority be the things that are eternal, let the reason why you are living be because of the kingdom of God, make up your mind today to make heaven be your major priority.
