13 Ways to flee from Youthful Lust
Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart. 2 Timothy 2:22
Youthful lust are the works of flesh, they open a big gap between man and God. The glory that’s ahead is far more than what you can see now, so it will be so disastrous to allow any form of lust to deny you of your place in destiny and manifestation. Here is 13 ways to help you flee from these lustful desires. May the eyes of your understanding be enlightened in Jesus name?
1) Be born again
This is the first and initial step you must take. You must first surrender to the almighty if you want to overcome youthful lust. All you just have to do is to accept Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and savior. And then you are on your to the life of victory.
To be born again is to be repent, to be born again is to become a new man, new creature, to be born again is to have a new heart and never go back to any form of sin again. Jesus is the only that can save you. Be born again now. 1 Corinthians 5vs17
2) Study the word
Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. This is the number one spiritual weapon if you must overcome the works of the flesh. You must stay connected with the word God always to help direct your path guide you. Joshua 1:8
This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
3) Stay away from bad Companies & Association
Show me your friend and I will tell you who you are. Evil communication corrupts good manners. If you want to flee from youthful lust one of the ways is to stay away from bad companies, they will only help you fulfill the works of the flesh. When you see them, you had better flee from them. The circle of your association has a great tendency to influence your life and destiny. 1 Corinthians 15vs33
4) Say NO to Sexual Immoralities.
Sex before marriage is an evil and forbidden fruit from the devil to defile the body, soul and spirit. Any sexual sin automatically cut one from the presence of God, because you are not only defiling the body only but also defiling the temple of God which is your body, soul and spirit. Your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, don’t defile it.
5) Avoid extra Affairs
Stay away from any form of immoralities. Don’t go into relationship if you know the main purpose is not for marriage. Don’t allow anyone to play with your life and your heart, your heart is too precious to be tampered with. Don’t experiment with your body for any practical experiment; your body is the temple of the most high God.
6) Live holy
Without holiness, no one will see God. Holiness must be your lifestyle, is not optional, it’s compulsory and is a must because the Lord says, be ye holy for I am holy. Being holy is one of the ways the power of God can rest upon you mightily because it’s the Holy Spirit that empowers a man that’s why you must be holy. Anyone who is not holy cannot walk far with God and his dominion will be limited. Live holy, think holiness and stay holy. 1 Thessalonians 4:7
7) Listen to anointed Messages
What you listen to has high capacity to affect your inner man. So therefore, start listening to spiritual tapes and CDs, to help you maintain the pace so you won’t get disconnected and distracted. Roman 10vs17
8) Watch what you watch
The things you watch can penetrate down into your soul and spirit. You must watch what you watch. Let your mind and eyes be set on spiritual things. You can build your spirit man by watching what glorifies God. Galatians 6vs8
9) Separate yourself
One of the surest ways of overcoming youthful lust is to separate yourself from the crowd. Don’t join the multitude in doing what is not right. Come out from the crowd and separate yourself from them. 2 Corinthians 6vs17
10) Be self-disciplined.
Self-discipline is simply doing what is right whether it is convenient or not. If you want to be one of the best, you must be self-discipline. There isn’t any need for you to do what others are doing just because they are doing it. 1 Corinthians 9vs27
11) Have the courage to say NO.
Many people find it hard to turn down request. My friend, if any proposal in a form of sin is being submitted to you, your answer should be capital NO. Do you care for a drink, NO.? Do you care for cigarette, NO.? Do you care to follow me to my boyfriend’s place, NO.? Do you care to club tonight, NO. Taste this alcohol it won’t harm you, NO.
Do you know you can still say NO and still be nice?
12) Avoid any ungodly relationship.
Disconnect yourself from any relationship that is not profitable to the kingdom of God. Any relationship that’s not glorifying God, any relationship that will take you away from your secret place, any relationship that will make God to ask you where are thou? please flee from them and don’t look back. 2 Corinthians 6vs14
13) Stay Focus.
The last but not the least on the list is staying focus. Don’t get distracted from any form of distractions. Just stay focus and stick to your plans. Philippians 3vs13
