But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Matthew 6:33.
To prioritize means to establish in order of importance or urgency. It also means to designate or treat (something) as being very or most important.
In Economics, there’s what is called “scale of preference”. Scale of preference simply means the list of wants or needs that a person writes or comes up with in order of importance. Here, the person puts his or her most pressing needs or wants at the top of the list and then the less important needs go to the bottom of the list.
In our everyday life and in every areas of our lives, God and His kingdom must be the first and the most important thing.
When you have a choice to make between something that involves God and His kingdom, and other things as well, my advice for you is to put God and His kingdom first before you go for other things.
Seek God and His Kingdom first, and let other things be secondary, also ask for His counsel in anything you want to do.
Some people, before they get anything done, they will first seek the consent of someone else, probably their closest friends or relatives. Instead of seeking God’s counsel at first.
Eventually, when everything practically goes wrong, they would be questioning God. And I’m sure God will also respond by saying did u sought for my counsel?
For you to avoid that kind of error, seek His counsel first before doing anything, either for Him, for yourself or for individuals.
Let God be the leader, then you be the follower, don’t lean on your own understanding. Don’t be too wise in your own eyes, allow God to lead you and He will surely guide and directs you.
Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. Proverbs 3:5.
Make God and His Kingdom a priority this every time. Seek it first above any other things and God will make all things work together for your good in Jesus name. Amen.
