You were bought with a price [purchased with a preciousness and paid for, made His own]. So then, honor God and bring glory to Him in your body. 1 Corinthians 6:20.
And so each of us shall give an account of himself [give an answer in reference to judgment] to God. Romans 14:12.
Everyman in this world carries an identity. No matter how young or old a person maybe, he / she carries an identity. Some carries the identity of their parents, some their schools, some their countries, some their religion. So no matter who you are, or where you come from, you’re a representative of somebody or something.
Identity means the individual characteristics by which a thing or a person is recognized or known for. So that means anywhere you appear, people will recognized you with something. It could be your colour, it could be your character, it could be your mode of dressing, your speech or even the way you eat. That’s why you must never forget your identity.
No matter where you find yourself, be assured that you carry someone’s identity and that person is Jesus. You must be conscious of that anytime because you cannot do things the way the world are doing it. You must not act as if you have the freedom to do anything you want. Christ is in and you represent him, you’re not just a citizen of the kingdom, you’re an ambassador of the kingdom. You’re Christ ambassador. You’re made in heaven. You are the light of the world.
Anywhere you find yourself, don’t be afraid to let them know whose identity you carry, let them know you are for Christ, let them know you’re a light, let them know your identity. Don’t be ashamed to shine the light of Christ, the light you carry is not an ordinary one, is a supernatural one and it’s a light of Glory.
Matthew 5:14-15 says
You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do men light a lamp and put it under a peck measure, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all in the house.
I don’t mean you should announce to everybody you see who you are, what I mean is that let them see Christ in you. The identity of whom you carry is not hard to see, everybody sees in light, but nobody sees in darkness, light must appear first before you can able to see, and when light comes, darkness disappears.
Let your light so shine before men that they may see your moral excellence and your praiseworthy, noble, and good deeds and recognize and honor and praise and glorify your Father Who is in heaven. Matthew 5:16.
Many trade their identity for pleasures of this world, for the lust of the flesh, for positions, for powers, love of money, promotion, for a plate of rice and ice creams, for little things that has no eternal value Don’t allow anybody to price you anyhow, you’re not pepper or tomato. You were bought with a price.
Joseph refused to compromise his standard; he knows what he stands for, despite the heated pressure from his master’s wife, he still did not bow to pressure. Daniel was no exceptional, he made up his mind not to defile himself with the kings meat. He became a global ambassador without any connection. The bible also recorded that Daniel was preferred above Prince and president. This means there is no level God cannot take you to if you walk consciously of your identity.
Lowering your standard and value for the things that won’t last forever does not worth it for even a second. Stand up for righteousness, stand up for holiness, and don’t forget who you are. Don’t forget your identity.
Today, make up your that you’ll not compromise your standard, your faith, your believe and the heavenly king of Glory will visit. God bless you.
If you want to carry a new identity, you want to be Christ’s ambassador and start shinning the light everywhere, you want to be born again, please say this prayer with me:
Dear God, I come to You with a humble heart and with gratitude for sending Your Son Jesus Christ to take away my sin that I might have right-standing with You. I accept Jesus now as my Savior and Lord, and I turn from my past life to a renewed life in You through Him. Dear heavenly Father, I thank you now for accepting me as your child. You said in Your Word that if I confess with my mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in my heart that God raised Him from the dead, I would be saved (Romans 10:9). I have just made this confession. I believe Your Word; I believe that I am now saved and I thank you for the gift of salvation and for accepting me as Your child. In Jesus Name, Amen.
