Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us. Hebrews 12:1.

Salvation race is personal and must be intentional. The Salvation race is a marathon and not a sprint race. Nobody can run this race for you. No matter how much you love your children, you can’t run their race for them, no matter how much you love your husband, wife, brother or sister, you can’t run their race for them, neither can they also run your race for you. Everyone will keep to his lane in order to arrive at the finish line.

Since salvation is a marathon race, it’s certain that you’ll see distractions, discouragement and detours on your way, but you have to keep your gaze and focus on your lane. You must not allow these devices to take your eyes away from your race.

Moses was supposed to enter the Promised Land, but he couldn’t because he was discouraged and frustrated by the act and deeds of the people he was leading. His reaction led to frustration which eventually denied him from entering the Promised Land. Even though that was not the original plan of God for him, but he missed it.

Beloved, don’t allow other people’s unbelief to affect your own belief. Never allow other people’s behaviour or attitude to determine your own character. Everyone will give an account of himself to God, and it will be a great disaster if you allow people’s character or attitude to be a stumbling block from reaching your goal.

Beloveth, be focused on your own race. don’t divert your focus to the wrong direction. Keep on moving; keep looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith. Remember, it is he that endured to the end that shall be saved and not he that stopped by the wayside. We will all finish well in Jesus name.

Stay blessed.
