5 Promises From The Word of God to Find Hope and Comfort

Kings will be your foster fathers and their queens, your nursing mothers. They will bow down before you with their faces to the ground; they will lick the dust at your feet. Then you will know that I am the Lord; those who hope in me will not be disappointed.” Isaiah 49:23 NIV

Hope in God is trusting in God. No one who hopes in God will be disappointed in life. There are times when it seems all hope is lost, and the future seems bleaky. If you can hold on to God and trust in Him, you’ll never be put to shame.

This post is here to put you in remembrance of God’s Word so you can find hope and comfort in Him.

  1. God Planned You Even Before You Were Born (Trust His Plan)

The word of the Lord came to me, saying, “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.” Jeremiah 1:4-5 NIV.

During the pregnancy period of a child, the father and the mother make adequate plans and preparation for the child. There are no potential parents who don’t make plans for the arrival of their baby even before the child will be born. But God’s plan for you is superior to that of any parents because He had you in mind even before your parents came together as one.

You were never a mistake. It doesn’t matter where or how you were born, God had already planned you even before your mother conceived you, and if God already has you in mind, it means your tomorrow will be alright. Just trust in Him, trust His plans, and find comfort.

  1. You’re Not Forgotten

“Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne? Though she may forget, I will not forget you! Isaiah 49:15 NIV.

I was in a bus one day going to redemption city, in Nigeria. Then suddenly a smoke started coming out from the vehicle, and everyone was screaming and shouting, immediately the driver parked, everyone started forcing their way out from the vehicle, someone even passed through the window, but I was calmed because I know God is with me. But something happened that day, and I will never forget, When everyone was struggling to come out of the vehicle, there was a mother who also ran for her own safety, but unknowingly, she had forgot her child. No one even noticed. I wasn’t even aware until she cried out and said, “omo mi da” in a Yoruba decent (a language well known in western Nigerian), meaning where my child is? This is just a typical example that anyone can forget you.

Sometimes, it seems very hard for a nursing mother to forget her own sucking child, but God knows that a mother can forget her own child who came out from her womb but even if they forget, God can never forget you.

One of the unpleasant things that can ever happen to a man is to be forgotten, forsaken, deserted, and lonely. Even the Bible said that it is not good for a man to be alone. Beloved, I want you to know and be very sure that you’re not forgotten.

Even if there are times when you might feel lonely and deserted, dear friend, you’re not alone, God is with you, and He will never forget you. Find Hope and Comfort today.

  1. You’re still in God’s Plan

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11 NIV

Everything that comes from God is good. And because you came from God, He has wonderfully, fearfully, and perfectly made you.

Every plan and thought of God concerning you is good, and He can never think of any evil against you because His plans and thoughts are for good and not of evil, in order to give you a well-deserved future and hope.

  1. He Wants to Restore You

“I will repay you for the years the locusts have eaten— the great locust and the young locust, the other locusts, and the locust swarm— my great army that I sent among you. [26] You will have plenty to eat, until you are full, and you will praise the name of the Lord your God, who has worked wonders for you; never again will my people be shamed. [27] Then you will know that I am in Israel, that I am the Lord your God, and that there is no other; never again will my people be shamed. Joel 2:25-27 NIV.

There is nobody who has never lost anything in this life. It could be materialistic, spiritual things, opportunities, relationships, time, health, etc.

It doesn’t matter what you might have lost, God said that He will restore them unto you. Keep your hope alive and find comfort in Him.

Humanly speaking, there are things that seem irrecoverable, things like time, because you can’t rewind the clock to function anticlockwise. Some opportunities cannot be recovered again, health can also be challenging, especially when doctors have done all they could, but there’s a God in heaven who can reverse the irreversible, who can turn impossibilities to possibilities.

Beloved, it doesn’t matter what you have lost or what have been stolen from you, God will restore them unto you in Jesus’ name. Find Hope today and encourage yourself in the Lord.

  1. He’s Making All Things Works Together For Your Good

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28 KJV

I know there are times when you might have made mistakes that have brought limitations, stagnation, or even failure. There are times when it feels all odds are against you, There are times when it seems all things are working against your plans, beloved, relax, don’t be afraid, God is making all these things to work out together for your good.

It doesn’t matter what you’re going through at the moment, God is making all things to work together for your good.

In the book of Luke 5:1-7. Peter and his friends were professional fishermen, but on a certain day, they went to do business as usual, but they seemed like a total failure. Their boat was good, their net was super good, but they could not catch a single fish, they refuse to give up, they refused to make excuses, they even refused to go home. unknowingly to them, God was making all things work to together for their good. they had an encounter with a man called Jesus. From that day, their lives changed forever.

At a point, they were struggling, and in another moment, they were successful, they even became employers of labourer and they also had an encounter with God that made them a world changer, beloved, you too can have that same encounter today if you will trust in God and hope in Him.

Peradventure, you don’t have any relationship with Jesus, you can make things right with Him now and make that decision to surrender your life to Him today, as Peter and his friends did, so your life can have a definite meaning and also fulfill your glorious destiny.
