Where Do You Want To Spend Eternity?

2 Corinthians 4:18 KJV

While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

There are only two places where you can spend eternity. You either spend it in hellfire or you spend it Heaven. The choice is yours for you to make. Whether you like it or not you’re going to chose one these places after your journey here on earth. Whether you also like it or not, you’ll have to chose one and make up your mind by yourself exactly where you want to spend eternity.

Either you want to go to hellfire or you want to make it to heaven the choice is yours for you to make.

If the question is being asked that who wants to go to heaven after his or her journey here on earth, I’m sure

Many people wants to make it to heaven but not many people are doing the things that qualifies them to go to heaven. Making it to heaven is not what you just confess with your mouth one day and then you suddenly find yourself on the road to heaven. Firstly, you have to be saved and then work out your salvation with fear and trembling.

What you do here on earth determines where you’ll spend eternity. Because all your works here on earth shall be judged one day. Both the works that you did in the secret and the ones you did in the open, they shall all be judged. My friend, if the Lord shall judge your works, where do you think you belong? Hellfire or Heaven?

I want you to sit down quietly in one corner and begin to think of your works, if you are to score yourself out of 100, how many will you score yourself, if other people around you are to score you out of 100, how many will they score you, what if God is to score you. How many will God score you. You might not be honest to yourself, average people might not be honest to you but God can never lie.

Have you ever imagined, if a video camera recorder were being place around you everywhere you go, in your rest room, bedroom, living room, offices, school, commercial, public places, in the place of worship, etc and that video were played to you one day, will you be proud of yourself?. My friend, don’t be surprised that the video of your life will be played to you one day and on that day, if your works are not clean and not pure as gold, there will be no room for repentance. By that time hell fire is already waiting for your soul. You have already decided your fate.

Galatians 6:7 KJV

Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

What you sow determines what you’ll reap, if you sow bad, you’ll reap bad, if you sow good you will reap good. The equation is simple and balance. But what you sow here on earth determines what you will reap eternally. If you sow the fruits of the flesh, you will reap the rewards in hell fire. What are the works of the flesh?

Galatians 5:19-21 KJV says

Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these ; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, [20] Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, [21] Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

But if you sow the fruits of the spirit, you’ll reap eternal life in heaven. What are the fruits of the spirit?

Galatians 5:22-23 KJV

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, [23] Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

So my brethren, what you sow here on earth determines what you’ll reap eternally. How you lived your life determines where you’ll spend eternity. If you want to spend eternity in heaven, you have to say bye to sin and run away from the works of the flesh.

Galatians 6:8 KJV

For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.

Where you lay up treasures also determines where you’ll spend eternity, you might be working here on earth, and your eternal savings account is in hellfire, you might also be working here on earth and your eternal savings account is Heaven. The works you do on earth determines what your reward will be, and that reward can only be either eternal damnation in hellfire or eternal life in Heaven.

Matthew 6:19-21 KJV says that

Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: [20] But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: [21] For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. Where do you lay up your treasures?

Beloveth, you cannot spend eternity in heaven if you are still living in sin, you cannot spend eternity in heaven if you are still producing the works of the flesh, you cannot spend eternity in heaven if you don’t confess your sins and forsake them, you cannot spend eternity in heaven if you don’t have Jesus and accept him as your personal Lord and saviour.

You must first come to Jesus let him cleanse you first, even though if you think you’re righteous, remember that all your righteousness is like a filthy rag. As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one. (Romans 3:10 KJV).

Jesus wants to give you a new beginning , Jesus wants to give you life, and he wants to give you in abundance, before you can have this life in abundance and enjoy eternity in heaven, you must be born again. If you want to surrender your life to Jesus and be born again say this salvation prayer in faith
