And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. Revelation 21:1.
The major priority of any believer should be eternity, not things that are temporary. Our thinking should not be based on the things on the earth, our thinking should be measured on the things that are eternal, because the things that are mundane are temporary, and will definitely come and go, but the things that are eternal will stay forever.
As a believer, our major thinking and priority should be heaven. Our thought, our behavior, our speech, our walk, our dressings and everything about us should be heavenly and should reflect heaven. Anything we know that will not glorify God should not be found in our lives.
If we must make heaven our major priority, there are lot of prices to be paid, lot of sacrifices, lots self-denial and self-discipline.
Whatsoever thing we give up for the sake of eternity can never be a waste, because nothing in this world can be compared with the Glory in heaven.
Although there will always be detours on the road, the enemy will never want to give you a smooth and easy ride to make it, you should never be discouraged; neither should you give in to their wiles and trick. Nay in all these things, you’re more than a conqueror.
Anyone who still finds it hard to take a stand for Jesus is still in love with the world. So, we must not allow the lust of the world to drive us away from our heavenly focus.
We must keep looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith because it’s only in Him our hope, future, victory and dominion are secured.
Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12:2.
To Make heaven our majority priority cannot be achieved by our own power, neither can it be achieved by own strength, ability, skills, connections, resources or certificates etc.
All that we need to make it to the very end is the Grace of God. And for that grace to be released upon us, we must abide in Him. When we abide in Him, He will also abide in us.
We must have a constant, consistent and an unbreakable fellowship with Him so that He can always direct our steps.
Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. John 14:1-2.
The Lord has gone to prepare a place for us, so we must be also prepare and be ready to reign with him eternally. Our works and our lifestyle must show that we are not taking with levity the things that are pertaining to the kingdom.
Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us. Hebrews 12:1.
We must not take anything for granted when it comes to the things that has to do with the kingdom. And we must also drop every weight of sin that seems to draw us back from God, because any sinner that fails to repent before the second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ will not make it.
I pray, may the Lord release unto us the Grace to make it to the very end and to finish well in Jesus Name.
Beloved, Heaven is a place for the genuine born again and not for the profaners. The only best place we should ever dream of spending eternity is heaven.
In everything we do, we must focus on eternity, think eternity, see eternity and preach eternity. We must take the things that will strike a string in the eternity very serious.
You and I know that there are only two places where eternity can be spent, heaven or hell. The only one place Jesus has made available for His own people is heaven, so make your choice now before it’s too late.
Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name. Revelation 3:12.
Dear friend, let you major priority be the things that are eternal, let the reason why you are living is because of the kingdom of God, make up your mind today to make heaven and let be your major priority in life.
