3 Things You Must Consistently Do In Every Situation
There are things we do occasionally, and there are things we do regularly. The life of a believer is not static; it is ever-active and must be consistent. One of God’s attributes is that He is always consistent in all His ways.
We, as believers, must also be consistent and disciplined in our Christian walk if we truly want to be victorious and excellent in life. Regardless of who you are, what you do, or the circumstances you face, there are three things the Word of God instructs us to do always. We must practise these acts continually until they become part and parcel of us.
Now, let us look at these three important keys. These keys will set you apart for an ever-increasing and productive life.
1. Prayer
And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint; Luke 18:1 KJV.
Prayer is non-negotiable; prayer is not occasional or seldom; it is a regular act and must be part of a Christian’s daily activities.
1 Thessalonians 5:17 says we should pray without ceasing. Prayer must be our lifestyle, not just a part of our lifestyle. Prayer is a continuous affair and communion with God. The power of prayer is not in the amount of time spent, but in its consistency and content.
Any believer who wants to command dominion in life and maintain and establish a constant link with the Holy Spirit must cultivate the habit of prayer.
Prayer is essential for a life of dominion, victory and power.
2. Give Thanks
In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. 1 Thessalonians 5:18 KJV
The will of God concerning us is always that we give thanks and do not murmur or complain. Until you keep giving thanks, your tank cannot be full. Give thanks for everything.
You want God to do more? Give thanks. You want to see the miraculous? Give thanks. You want to experience abundance? Give thanks. You want to move to your promised land? Give thanks. You trust God for something? Give thanks.
Sometimes, it might not be convenient to give thanks in certain situations; nevertheless, give thanks and let God see your sincere heart of thanksgiving.
By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name. Hebrews 13:15 KJV
Those who give thanks continually will always see God in action, moving on their behalf, because giving thanks positions you to receive more from Him.
Beloved, never allow anything to remove thanksgiving from your lips at any time, because this is the will of God for you in every situation. Be thankful always, and your tank shall be full.
3. Rejoice
Rejoice evermore. 1 Thessalonians 5:16 KJV.
These two words are very powerful, and they are not simply telling us to rejoice whenever we feel like it or only on Sunday; we should live it always, and it must be a continuous part of our lives.
There are times when you feel burdensome and heavy-hearted; rejoice, because he has appointed unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified. Isaiah 61:3.
Philippians 4:4 says, Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice.
Imagine—the Word of God tells us the same thing twice in this verse; it means this is a serious business. Rejoice because you have the God of heaven as your Lord, Saviour, and Father, who made you triumphant always.
As a matter of fact, it is only those who are joyful who will adapt quickly when we get to heaven, because heaven is full of rejoicing, and the rejoicing in heaven never ends. There is no form of sorrow in heaven. That is why God is telling us to start our rehearsal now, so that we will fit in easily when the time of refreshing shall come. We will all make it in Jesus’ name, amen.
Beloved, do not let the sound of rejoicing cease from your mouth or your life, because with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation. Isaiah 12:3 KJV.
Keep rejoicing, and let not your rejoicing be confined to a season, but let it be always.
Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice.
Stay blessed. Shalom!
