Eternity With Jesus
Eternity is a time without end; it’s infinite and perpetual. It’s a period when one will not be in a hurry to achieve a task, to catch up with a flight, to meet up with a train or a bus.
It’s a time when you will have enough time to do anything you want to do. It is a time when nobody runs late for an appointment. A time when nobody gets you fired for not being punctual to a meeting.
In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. John 14:2-3.
Eternity can be spent in only two places, either in heaven or in hell. The former is the best and only safe place to spend eternity, while the latter is the worst, worse and worse place to spend eternity; don’t even pray for your enemy to go there. But in this post, we’ll be focusing on eternity with Jesus.
Eternity with Jesus can only be spent in no other place than heaven. Heaven is a place prepared for the disciples of Jesus who are faithful doers of His will while living on earth.
Heaven is for the prepared and qualified. Everyone you see today, or you know is going to live forever, either in heaven with God or in hell with the devil.
After Jesus took away the sins of the whole world by dying on the cross, He resurrected and ascended above to prepare a house in heaven for anyone who believes in Him and is washed by the blood of the Lamb.
He has been there over two thousand years now, still building mansions for us. Do you want to see this mansion that Jesus has been building? Do you want to see this city and street in which your mansion is located? Do you want to spend eternity with Jesus? Then you need to be a true follower and disciple of Jesus by doing His will.
Eternity with Jesus will give you more time to visit your friends, family, siblings, pastor, schoolteacher or lecturer who also made it to heaven. You could even go to Father Abraham’s house for breakfast or apostle Peter and Paul for dinner.
There will be enough time to laugh, play and rejoice. But eternity in hell will not give anybody any time or privilege to visit anyone, because they don’t laugh over there; they don’t celebrate at all; it’s a place of serious torment and torture.
Eternity with Jesus is an everlasting life of joy, peace and happiness. Every moment will be a moment of rejoicing and worshipping, because heaven is not a place of sorrow; it is an atmosphere filled with the presence and the glory of God.
As a matter of fact, only those who are joyful will be comfortable in heaven. If you’re not always joyful or always rejoicing and you want to make heaven, you had better start practicing how to be joyful now because heaven is a place of joy.
Rejoice evermore! Again I say rejoice evermore!
The journey to eternity with Jesus starts here on earth, and anyone who does not deny himself and carry his cross cannot contest for the seat of glory in heaven.
Jesus wants to spend eternity with everyone in heaven but, unfortunately, not everyone wants to spend eternity with Jesus.
Heaven is large enough to contain everyone on earth at the moment, but only a few are finding this narrow path.
Spending eternity with Jesus will demand your total commitment, holiness and obedience to the will of God. Either it’s convenient or not.
Eternity in heaven is not by mere talk; it is by grace and working out your salvation with fear and trembling. It does not come accidentally or by chance. You have to accept full responsibility and carry your cross daily.
The glory that’s ahead far more than what you could think or imagine. Many forces will contend for your soul. Distractions, lust of the eyes, lust of the flesh, worldly pleasures, etc. will come knocking at your door daily, but you’re to strongly resist their wiles and never put your cross aside.
You’re to take a stand and make a firm decision never to compromise your standards for the sake of worldly pleasures and never to go back to the life of sin again.
Beloved, you must give it all to make sure that every minute counts for the sake of a successful heavenly trip and finally arrive at this golden city. Nothing in this world should be a hindrance or too costly for not spending eternity with Jesus in heaven.
Beloved, the gate of the church is opened for everyone, but the gate of heaven is only opened for the qualified Revelation 21:27. The ticket to spend eternity with Jesus is still available. Mercy exists for as long as time lasts. Once time is up, mercy expires.
Besides this, you know what [a critical] hour this is, how it is high time now for you to wake up out of your sleep (rouse to reality). For salvation (final deliverance) is nearer to us now than when we first believed (adhered to, trusted in, and relied on Christ, the Messiah). Romans 13:11.
The best time to prepare for the glories of heaven to escape the horrors of hell is now! The best time to think of how you would spend eternity with Jesus is now. Now is the accepted time for salvation. Be prepared and live ready.
I don’t know; maybe you’re pricked in your heart to surrender your life to Jesus now. If you’re ready to do that, please pray this salvation prayer in faith:
Lord Jesus, I come to you as a sinner; I admit that I’m a sinner. Please forgive my sins. I believe that you died for me and you resurrected because of me so that I can have life. Today I acknowledge you as my personal Lord and Saviour; please come and reign in my life. Erase my name from the book of hell and write my name in the book of life. Thank you for saving me. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
I congratulate you; welcome to the new life in Christ. You are now born again.
Jesus Saves, Jesus Loves You!
Shalom!
