As we celebrate our accomplishments, awards, and trophies, we must remember that there is an eternal trophy that will not rust or be destroyed, waiting for every believer as a reward. This eternal trophy will be given to each person according to their deeds.

“Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal.” – Matthew 6:19-20.

Every final game between two teams is a platform where the both teams contend for a trophy, only the winner goes home the trophy.

At the conclusion of the tournament, the best players and teams of the tournament will be awarded medals and trophies for their tremendous and outstanding performances throughout the competition

As we know, no great achievement comes without sacrifice; every reward requires hard work and dedication. The teams and players who received these accolades put forth their best efforts to earn their awards, and the tournament winner did its part to secure the trophy.

While these trophies and medals are significant, serving as lasting reminders of past achievements, they too will eventually be discarded one day.

As believers, as we celebrate our accomplishments, awards, and trophies, we must remember that there is an eternal trophy that will not rust or be destroyed, waiting for every believer as a reward. This eternal trophy will be given to each person according to their deeds.

“We look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.” – 2 Corinthians 4:18.

Our focus should be on these rustless trophies that will testify for us both in this life and the next. To attain them, we must be willing to make sacrifices and live our lives to please our Master, who rewards those who diligently seek Him. We should keep our eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith.

Beloved, set your hearts on things that are above and eternal so that you can store up eternal treasures in heaven, where moths and rust cannot destroy, and thieves cannot break in and steal.
